My entry for the Science Fiction contest [link] held by =FantasyStock
Everything you see is done digitally on PSCS2...and I've come to realize how much I loathe painting in Photoshop. The effects were good...especially on the giant "Hunter Robot"...but the painting for the main characters took ages...
Characters: Robot holding his Love/Light as she's fading into nothingness...in the background is the giant Hunter that's going to put an end to his life as well...but it's insignificant for all that matters is what he's already lost...
Anyways, this piece took ages! I lost count after the first 10 hours or so....
P.S. - Real men wear Purple!

wow, just wow.the concept is amazing, the painting job is mindblowing, the fact that you painted that in photoshop, priceless. i'm usually one for a happy ending, but the saddness you've portrayed in his face is awesome. to tell you the truth, when i first saw it, i thought he was a robot from an anime series called kikaider. still, an amazing job, simply breath-taking. good luck with the contest.
