Burned by Temptation

As I was listening to Rascal Flatts - "What Hurts the Most", I somehow came up with this concept...don't ask HOW it came about...but it just stirred some feelings around.

Note: Those arrows are made in reference to those of Cupid. If you noticed, her wings are those of a devil, with a few feathers lined around to cover up the darker side.

The basic idea behind this is that like while you're in love, everything you see are a person's qualities while all of their darker side is hidden...all of their good points may be fake, but it doesn't matter as long as they're beside you...it's how you can be writhing in pain, yet still love her with all your heart...

The colored version will come along shortly when my shipment of Prismacolors arrive (got a nice deal on Ebay for 72 for $35)...this is done somewhat to test out my new Micron pens...which works REALLY well...!

2 hours sketch with a mechanical pencil -> 1 hour inking with Micron pen. Done on 9x12 Bristol Board.
